Problems:
We hope that your use of YouRipper will be both trouble free and fun.

Why is it that, on YouTube, some videos show up as having a filesize of 0.00Mb?
YouTube has a system of 'flagging' videos which contain, what they regard as, 'Inappropriate Content'. While YouTube does not carry porn, the content of the video may have an adult theme or contain images of violence etc. Unfortunately, YouRipper has no means to download such flagged videos as they are securely locked.

However, with most videos being cross-posted onto other video sites eg. Google Video, Daily Motion etc. a search on other sites for the video you want will very often find it and you can rip it from there.

YouRipper freezes up when I click the 'Rip' button?
(Ver 2.0 only...get the update!)

Unfortunately, those good, multi-millionaire folk at YouTube don't like people downloading and saving the videos hosted on their site. So, occasionally and sometimes frequently, YouTube change their download codes so that YouRipper will not work.

Thankfully, when they do this we can retune YouRipper to these new codes on a serverside basis, so that no updates to the YouRipper software are needed.

Regretfully, the current version of YouRipper (2.0) simply freezes during this time. The next version has more improved error checking to prevent this freeze-up, reporting back to the end-user that the service is not currently available.

If your copy of YouRipper does freeze in this fashion, don't panic. Just terminate the program and then re-run it in a few hours. Alternatively, upgrade to version 2.10...it's much better and rips MySpace too!

When I run YouRipper the program is not visible, even when a web browser is in focus?
This problem is caused by one or other 'junk' programs running on your system which is 'illegally bleeding' into an area of your computer's memory which is needed by YouRipper.

Solving this problem is a miserable job and one that involves you trying to isolate the rogue program from within your computer's Process List (Ctrl+Alt+Del). It's also likely that this 'junk' program is responsible for many other unexpected error messages, particularly within Internet Explorer.

Without exception Support is only available to those who have previously made a $10 donation to this project and are therefore on my email 'white-list'. All other emails are go unread, unanswered and are auto-deleted.
